There was a release of fuel into the sea in the area of 3 sq km.
In the Spanish port of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands ferry Volcan de Tamasite crashed into a pier. In this incident 13 passengers were injured.
According to the Agency, the incident occurred due to “cessation of supply”.
Five of the victims had to be hospitalized. The other passengers were placed in hotels.
It is also noted that because of the incident was the damaged pipe, which is used to fuel ships. There was a release of fuel into the sea in the area of 3 sq km.
Local authorities said that there is a threat of pollution to the coastal towns of Las Palmas and Telde.
