The company SpaceX has made the third successful launch of the Falcon 9 rocket in 2017. Half an hour later after launch from the carrier separated telecommunications satellite EchoStar 23. This was reported in the Twitter of the company.
The launch was performed on March 16 from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral (Florida). Previously scheduled for March 14, the start was postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
EchoStar 23 satellite built by an American company SSL (Space Systems/Loral) and is designed to provide television broadcasting on the territory of South America. The service life of the device is estimated at 15 years.
