SpaceX conducted the first tests of the carrier rocket Falcon Heavy

According to the plans of Elon musk, the launch of the Falcon Heavy is scheduled for summer 2017.

Aerospace company Elon musk SpaceX conducted the first tests of the carrier rocket heavy class Falcon Heavy, designed, including, for missions to Mars.

In particular, this was reported in Twitter SpaceX. The tests were last week, at the McGregor test site. Successfully tested for fire resistance has been a Central part of the rocket.

According to the plans of the Mask, the launch of the Falcon Heavy is scheduled for summer 2017. Heavy rocket is developed on the basis of a more lightweight Falcon 9.

Falcon Heavy will be able to output in low earth orbit to 54.4 tons of cargo, and Mars will deliver up to 13.6 tons. In a heavy missile as accelerators there will be three first-stage Falcon 9 Full Thrust.

In the first phase of the mission will work side boosters to save some fuel in the tanks of the first stage. After detaching the lateral boosters of the first stage engines will start to work in full force. It is assumed that all three segments will be reusable and able to sit down similarly to the first stage of the Falcon 9.

Initially, the first launch of the Falcon Heavy was planned for 2013, but the date was repeatedly moved, not least due to the collapse of the carrier rocket Falcon 9 in June 2015.
