This was stated by the sociologist and Director of the Fund “Democratic initiatives” Irina Bekeshkina.
According to the sociologist, in recent years, fears of Ukrainians also often associated with economic turmoil, particularly with the loss of a job.
“In fact, for all the years of Ukraine’s greatest fears were economic rising prices, job loss, plant closures. Of course, after the Russian aggression in 2014 first appeared and dramatically increased the fear of military action. But as the stabilization of the situation, he retreated somewhat, and is now completely dominated by economic fears,” said Bekeshkina.
According to the survey, as the Director of the Fund, among the biggest fears of Ukrainians – the fear of hunger (30%), in previous years, this fear was shared by 50% of citizens who participated in the survey.
We will remind, the country held the opinion polls, which determined how many people consider themselves to be Ukrainians. As shown by the results of the surveys, KIIS, Rating, SOTSIS and the Razumkov Center, Ukrainians consider themselves to be more than 90% of the population.
