Russian bobsledder Alexander Kasyanov, Alexey Pushkarev and Ilvir Khuzin did not appeal the decision of the court of arbitration for Sport (CAS) on cancellation of their results at the Olympics in Sochi on the basis of violations of these anti-doping rules by athletes.
This was stated by the President of the bobsleigh Federation of Russia Alexander Zubkov, also deprived of Olympic medals.
On September 27 representatives of the athletes received the motivation part of decisions of the CAS, explaining the reasons for the punishment of these athletes. Within a month they could appeal the CAS verdict to the Swiss Federal Supreme court.
“And there was not any information we have about the intention of these three athletes to challenge this decision. Decided not to argue because it’s pointless,” – said Zubkov, RIA “Novosti”.
Results Kasyanov, Pushkareva and Khuzina, shows for the Olympics 2014 in Sochi, was cancelled following the results of investigation of the Commission of the International Olympic Committee, Denis Oswald.

According to TASS, the Governor is still considering the possibility of filing a lawsuit in the European court of human rights, while Zubkov in the end of June, after consulting with his lawyers decided not to contest his guilt, arguing the appeal “meaningless affair”.
