Igor Smeshko, the leader of Strength and honor and the same-name public organization, told about the preparation of his political force in parliamentary elections.
In particular, he commented that supposedly talks about teaming up with a musician Svyatoslav Vakarchuk. Smeshko confirmed that he had met with him both before and after the first round of the presidential election.

Direct questions about who his party Strength and honor is planning to go to the polls, Smeshko said: “We are going to his political party, the political force, which is build on the basis of its constituents”. According to him, now in the process of creation of party cells, and 2-3 weeks should be established pre-election headquarters of the party.
Smeshko also announced “open primaries, ranked among the best representatives of local authorities”, which he plans to attract into the ranks of his party.
In the first round of presidential elections in Ukraine, held on 31 March 2019, Smeshko ranked sixth in favour of 6.04% of Ukrainians.
Smeshko headed the security service in 2003-2005. From October 2014 to March 2015 headed the Committee on intelligence issues under the President of Ukraine.
