More than three dozen Ukrainians were forcibly detained at an illegal center.
Law enforcement authorities in Volyn region exposed the illegal activities of the rehabilitation centre which has been equipped in one of houses near Lutsk. During the search they found about more than 30 people who were kept locked up under the pretext of treatment for drug addiction and chronic alcoholism. It is reported by the Prosecutor’s office of Volyn region.
In the center of the 6 thousand hryvnias a month was forcibly held residents of Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Lviv and other regions.
It is noted that the citizens were deprived of their means of communication, personal documents and clothing.
On the functioning of this center on the territory of the Lutsk city district government authorities of local self-government was not known. Pre-judicial investigation proceeds. Detained two people involved in the illegal operation of the centre.
The issue of the announcement of the alleged torture and unlawful imprisonment of several people for a long time out of selfish motives (criminal offense provided by part 2, article 127 and part 2 of article 146 of the criminal code of Ukraine) and election concerning them a preventive measure in the form of detention.
