Skoda has brought to the road test prototypes of the new compact model Scala. The hatchback will demonstrate the new design language of the Czech brand and the first move to “volkswagenesque” the MQB A0. On the market Skoda Scala will appear in the first half of 2019.
The length of the “Rocks” will be 4362 mm, width – 1793 millimeters, height – 1471 mm. The wheelbase of the hatchback reaches 2649 mm. Base engine 1.0 TSI (95) will be paired with five-speed “mechanics”, 115-HP version of this engine, 1.5 TSI (150 HP) and 1.6 TDI (115 HP) combined with a six-speed “mechanics” or seven-step “robot” DSG. 90-horsepower 1.0 G-TEC powered by natural gas, will be offered only with a six-speed manual transmission.
