Sisters Nipple make a remake of one of the early films of David Cronenberg, “Rabid” (Rabid).
The original picture was released in theaters in 1977, and the main role in it played by Marilyn chambers. The plot, as things like the Cronenberg in the first of his films, totally insane and heavily involved in the horrific transformations of the human body:
After the accident, the girl is dying, conventional medicine can not save her. Then the doctors decide to try new methods and products. As a result the girl is on the mend. It would seem that everything is fine, but drugs appeared a terrible side effect: the girl under one arm appeared a hole, where from time to time gets out the sting. This sting she drinks the blood of their victims, as in moments of hunger she can’t control it. After some time, victims of an unusual vampire show signs of rabies.
In fact, more than suitable story for a cheap horror movie “category B”, which for the time being and spetsializiruyutsya compatriot Cronenberg Canadians Sylvia and Jen.
Sylvia Nipple tells about the remake:
For us a big part of becoming a team, chosen to work on the remake of “Mad” Cronenberg. Actually, I’m not a big fan of remakes, but only if they do not bring anything new to the story. We, just because we women have a unique opportunity to tell the story from the point of view of [the main character] rose, as well as to comment about the mad mad world in which we live. And we are dying to return to body horror. Ten years since the beginning of his career, David [Cronenberg] was filming the remake of “the Fly” – and this brought it to a new level. Our career is also ten years and this will be our first movie that will be released in wide theaters, so I guess the comparison itself arises. And we just want to be sure that will not fail our country, our fans and our hero.
Curious how the sisters Nipple justify their immersion in the hell of remakes. But it makes sense, doesn’t it? If Cronenberg himself did not scruple at the time…
