Shokin will sue the Parliament and President

A hearing is scheduled on April 10.

Former Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin has filed a lawsuit in the Supreme administrative court with a demand to recognize the illegal dismissal.

“Defendants are the President and the Verkhovna Rada”, – reported to Ukrainian news by the press service of the court.

The court opened proceedings on the suit of Shokin and set a hearing for 15:30 on April 10.

Recall Shokin resigned in mid-February 2016, at the request of the President of Petro Poroshenko. Then the question was in spike with a vote on the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers Arseniy Yatsenyuk. However, the vote on the resignation of Shokin in the Verkhovna Rada passed only a month later – March 29, 2016. On 3 April 2016, the President issued a decree dismissed Shokin.
