The head of the Russian defense Minister of the Russian Federation has prevented the disintegration of the country.
The Russian operation in Syria is nearing completion. This was stated by Russian defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during the meeting with the defense Minister of Israel Avigdor Lieberman.
“We would like to discuss everything to do with Syria. Operation there is nearing completion,” – said Shoigu.
He noted that issues have a lot.
“There are a few points which require immediate decisions and require a discussion of prospects for further development of the situation in Syria. In addition to the issues of our military and military-technical cooperation, of course, the main issue is associated with the fight against terrorism and the situation in the region”, – said Shoigu.
About the imminent end of the war in Syria, Sergei Shoigu reported to the state Duma in February of this year. He said that the Russian military has dealt a serious blow to the forces of international terrorists in Syria and prevented the disintegration of the country.
By the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin on 15 March from Syria was initiated withdrawal of the Russian aviation group. The President stated that the points of basing of the Russian Armed forces in Tartus and Mamimi will operate in the same mode and should be protected from land, sea and air.
In July, the Russian Federation Council approved a Protocol to the agreement with Syria about the location of the aviation group of the Russian Armed forces on the territory of this country. Now Russia will be able to stay in Syria for 49 years.
In this case, as calculated in the Russian party “Yabloko”, for military action in Syria from the Russian budget were spent about 140 billion rubles (more than $ 60 billion hryvnia). According to estimates, most funds were spent on air strikes by Russian aircraft.
