The President of Lithuania said that the EU has provided Ukraine with substantial financial resources but the state does not use them to their fullest.
Only depends on Ukraine how many opportunities offered by her Union, she uses and when she will be able to join the EU. This was before the Eastern partnership summit in Brussels on 24 November, said the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.
“As soon as Ukraine is ready, she will join the club, but there is still a long way,” said Grybauskaite, stressing that only from States of the Eastern partnership depends on how efficiently and at what rate they will use the financial resources provided by the EU, and the support that the fellowship offers them.
Grybauskaite added that the EU has already provided Ukraine with substantial financial resources but the state does not use them as efficiently as possible.
“Of the 12 billion euros they only used two thirds. They also proposed macro-financial resources, but separate conditions. Therefore, only from partner countries depends on how they use the proposed resources and support,” explained Grybauskaite.
