An unprecedented episode occurred on the border of the two powers.
23-year-old citizen of Russia tried to enter the territory of Ukraine at Russian domestic passport. As the press service of the Kharkiv border guard, the woman tried to cross the border on foot through the checkpoint goptovka.
“During the passport control, it was found that she tried to enter the territory of Ukraine on internal passports of the Russian Federation. She was sent for an interview to explain the procedure of crossing the state border of Ukraine. When conducting the interview, the citizen offered the border guards a monetary reward in the amount of 1 thousand rubles of the Russian Federation (about 400 UAH. – Ed.) for assistance in the smooth crossing of the border. Guards from improper benefits given”, – stated in the message.
Guards documented attempt of bribery after compiling all the necessary documents handed over a Russian citizen to the police. To the competent law enforcement agencies sent notice of the wrongful act containing signs of a criminal offence under article 369 (the offer, promise or giving undue advantage to an official) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
