Sharapova won the first match after a long disqualification

Titled Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova on clay tournament in Stuttgart played their first match after a 15-month disqualification.

In January 2016 Sharapova passed a positive doping test for Meldonium and received two-year disqualification. Later, the Russian has managed to reduce the period of weaning from tennis to 15 months.

“I really wanted to go, worked on this. And very glad that everything worked out. For me all matches are now important. Haven’t played because every match,” said Sharapova after the match.
