Shakhtar did not let Marlos in “Besiktas”

Champion of Ukraine, Shakhtar have rejected an offer of beşiktaş’s midfielder Marlos.

Besiktas after an unexpected breakthrough in the playoffs of the Champions League in the face Marlos expected to seriously boost the team’s attacking potential, however, ran into a failure on the part of Shakhtar.

According to the Turkish newspaper “Fanatik”, “miner”, after consultation with the head coach of “miners” Paulo Fonseca, informed Besiktas of unwillingness to sell Marlos. The Turkish club withdrew from the negotiations and at the moment no plans to return to the idea to sign Marlos.

Marlos, recently took the Ukrainian citizenship, has the best season in his career. In 26 matches naturalized midfielder scored 11 goals and gave six assists.

Marlos for the first time in Ukrainian football appeared in “Metalist”, and since July 2014 stands at Shakhtar. Since then, the 29-year-old midfielder played 153 matches in which he scored 35 goals and recorded 35 assists.

Portal “Transfermarket” estimates Marlos 10 million euros, and his contract with Shakhtar expires June 30, 2019.
