Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov was transferred from Irkutsk detention facility in Chelyabinsk.
About it reports “Interfax-Russia”, referring to a Public Commission monitoring the Irkutsk region.
“In the Irkutsk SIZO-1 informed that Oleg Sentsov was taken today from Irkutsk to Chelyabinsk,” — said the Agency member of the Public monitoring Commission.
The reasons for the transfer are still unknown.
Sentsov stated that he did not know the reason for his transfer from a penal colony in Yakutia. Irkutsk activist Svyatoslav Khromenkov suggested that the Ukrainian political prisoner decided to change the place of punishment.
In Irkutsk Sentsov moved three days ago. Prior to that, he was serving an illegal sentence in Yakut colony.
