According to him, citizenship is not necessary for people who deliberately live in occupied territories.
The people’s Deputy Semyon Semenchenko said that the majority of residents of the occupied territories of Ukraine should be deprived of citizenship.
“I don’t think the majority of people who are in occupied territory by citizens of Ukraine. I believe that citizenship they need to take. A citizen of Ukraine shall not be the person who, having a passport, waving and shouts: “a State take care of me!” No, this is a man who understands that in addition there are the rights and responsibilities. Their duty is to defend Ukraine, to respect its national symbols, to protect the lives of others. This is spelled out in the Constitution. If he won’t admit it, was when our characters were ripped and did nothing healthy and full of energy is not a citizen of Ukraine. Another thing, if it’s the grandmother, the sick woman, child or a doctor performing his duty there, remains with the patients…” – said the MP.
According to him, citizenship is not necessary for people who deliberately live in occupied territories and not fighting for their country.
“All able-bodied population it is necessary to deprive of citizenship, the men in age of conscription. Not doctors, not people with disabilities. If people knowingly live there, not join the Armed forces of Ukraine are not fighting for their land, I believe they should be stripped of citizenship. And ask them the question that for them, the Ukraine and why they do it the citizenship”, – said Semenchenko.
