The Amsterdam court verdict, ruling to give the collection of Scythian gold Ukraine.
The collection was taken from the Crimea to the exhibition in the archaeological Allard Pierson Museum in early 2014
When making a decision the court took into account the fact that Crimea, claiming the collection is not a country and therefore can not claim the right to objects of art. Therefore, the decision about who to return the artifacts, will host a Ukrainian court, after the gold will be in Ukraine.
Recall that the Scythian gold, brought from Crimea to the exhibition in the archaeological Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam in early 2014, before the Peninsula was reunited with Russia.
The head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov said that Crimea will continue to fight for the collection of Scythian gold, if the court will take the Ukrainian side.
