Scientists told about the radiation storm from a solar flare

Experts say that the potential for the further development of geomagnetic storms is still there

Specialists from the Centre for space weather forecasting has warned the United States 9 Sep radiation storm caused by a series of flares of class X in the Sun, one of which became the most powerful in the last 12 years.

The scientists also explained that the effects of the coronal mass though weakened, but the potential for further development of geomagnetic storms is still there.

Recall that the record solar flare occurred on 6 September, triggering on the stellar surface seismic waves.Due to the extreme activity lights fell to the Ground magnetic storm, which experts have assigned the fourth category out of five.

Also on September 6 the Sun there was another – weaker – flash. Approximately the same was recorded on Friday, September 8.
