American researchers carried out scans of ancient Egyptian mummies in the Museum, Maidstone.

As a result, they managed to make a few amazing discoveries.

First of all, researchers said, found among the remains of the ancient Egyptian inhabitants of the mummy of a 20-week fetus, which, apparently, was the child of Pharaoh and of his secret lover. Scientists believe that the mistress of the ruler hid the fact of miscarriage, so as not to upset the father of a premature baby.

Interestingly, for many centuries, the mummified body fragments of a small child believed to be the remains of hawk, who lived 2300 years ago. Such conclusions were made because of the tiny size of the mummy, which opened out of fear that it will collapse.

In addition to the mummies, which probably can be considered the most young age of the deceased, the researchers also examined the remains of a young woman from the same collection. This girl named TA-Kush, who lived 2700 years ago, was 14-year-old. Now, however, scientists have found that at the time of death she was 20 to 30 years.
