Dogs appeared to be more attractive cats.
People who come to shelters homeless animals, for example, pick up a stray cat, sometimes completely changing the original intention and leave the walls of the shelter with a dog — and that, as established by psychologists, not by chance.
The dog turned out to have a number of evolutionary advantages which make them attractive cats in the eyes of the people.
“At that time, as cats Express their emotions mostly purring and rubbing various objects and people (incidentally, we still don’t know about the evolutionary assignments neither one nor the other), dogs are endowed with multiple mechanisms for the expression of emotion than, of course, have to people. Take the amazing facial expressions of the dogs,” say the scientists.
According to whom, facial expressions, lack of aggression, as well as some other “features” of dogs, make these four-legged creatures the most attractive household Pets in the eyes of the average person.
Cats, in turn, are generally less friendly-looking creatures — they are not as pronounced attached to people and generally behave towards them with some coolness. For this, however, cats and love many of their admirers.
