Scientists in the desert will cover supernatural glitches

Lebanese Director Ziad Duari (“West Beirut”, “Leela”, “Attack”), which right now should be rooting for the success of his film “L insulte” launched at the Venice international film festival, work in our beloved genre. It will shoot a supernatural Thriller “Ghost element” (Ghost Element), and today it is the most ambitious project of the Director.

The film will serve as a novel by French writer and artist Rene Bonnefoy. It was published in the second half of the last century, called “Le Tambour d’angoisse” and under a pseudonym (of which the author was a lot) B. R. Brus. As the story is a bit outdated, it was adapted to modern times.

The film will tell about how:

A team of 12 scientists of different nationalities, ethnic groups and religions goes to the Australian wilderness to find the thorium, which is a very valuable fuel. However, the mission does not unfold as expected, and as a result, scientists are stuck in the desert, finding refuge in the cave. Soon begin to happen strange things: the members of the group die one by one, suffering from hallucinations or supernatural visions. Each new death adds tension and causes the hidden conflict within the team, which brought together people from the US, Syria, Israel and other countries.

Early in his career Duari actively worked as a first assistant operator, and worked by Tarantino (reservoir dogs, pulp fiction, Four rooms), participated in the filming of “From dusk till dawn” and “Tales from the crypt”. In General, for a horror community is not a stranger. And let his directorial work is not yet so well known to the General public (especially among fans of the dark genre), can still change.

It is planned that the shooting of “Ghost item” will be partially in English. About the release date and caste is unheard of.
