The technique can be used to regenerate damaged or aging tissue
Researchers from the medical center of the Wexner of Ohio state University and the College of engineering of Ohio has developed a new technology Nanotransfection Tissue (TNT), which is able to restore nerve cells.
To start the process TNT requires only one second.
In addition, the technique can be used to regenerate damaged or aging tissue and blood vessels.
According to the Director of the Center for regenerative medicine and cell therapy Ohio doctorate Chandana Sena device Tissue Nanotransfection using the nano chip instantly delivers the new DNA or RNA into a living cell of the skin, changing its function.
The efficiency of this method was demonstrated by the results of experiments on mice and pigs.
“It’s hard to imagine, but the technology have demonstrated successful results in 98% of cases. Using TNT we are able to convert the skin cells into any of the elements on one touch. This process takes only a second. Then the chip is removed from the body and begins the reprogramming of the cell,” explains Chandan sen.
Preparations are ongoing clinical trials TNT with the participation of the people.
