According to scientists, the Solar system is approaching a “giant death star”. Officially the name of the star HIP 85605, and at the moment it is in the constellation of Hercules, at a distance of 16 light years from Earth.
According to calculations, the probability that HIP 85605 will pass at a distance of 0.04 parsecs from the Sun, reaches 90%. And even if two cosmic bodies will collide, “a giant death star” still does not go without consequences.
It’s all in the Oort cloud, which is full of asteroids and other celestial bodies. the fact that on the way to the Solar system HIP 85605, of course, will pass through this cloud that will lead to the release of celestial bodies from the Oort cloud in all directions, including towards the Earth.
A disaster will happen in approximately 240 thousand to 470 thousand years. But in astronomical terms, the convergence to 50 light days two stars is considered to be very close.
