Scientists have developed two new high-tech material that is able to transmit tactile sensations.
It is reported by an article in the medical journal Nature Materials.
One of the materials created by scientists under the leadership of Ali, Java from UC Berkeley. They have built layers of the finest mesh of nanofibers in a thin sheet of rubber. The resulting material acts as a thin film transistor with sensitive top layer. The power of the electric charge passing through the fabric, depends on the pressure being mounted on its surface. The greater the pressure, the higher the amperage.

The second approach to the creation of this material showed a group of researchers from Stanford University under the guidance of Jenna Bao. Both groups demonstrated that they created materials for 0.1 seconds to react to the pressure from 5 to 200 grams per square centimeter is comparable to the way reacts to the pressure of the human skin.
