American astronomers noted the sudden disappearance of a star N6946-BH1, which they observed for several years.
According to available information, the researchers do not know the exact reason why the heavenly body disappeared from sight.
One of the most probable versions, the star becomes a black hole. It is reported that scientists did not expect such a scenario, they were confident that the star will explode as a supernova.
N6946-BH1 was located at a distance of 22 million light years from Earth in spiral galaxy NGC 6946. Shining was 25 times heavier than the Sun.
