Digital information can be stored on clothing
Experts-physicists from the University of Washington has developed a unique and promising project of “smart materials” that can store digital information directly into human clothes – and it promises to be a real breakthrough in the use of special conductive thread that can not only hold an electric charge, but also magnetic.
And this, in turn allows you to save directly into this thread digital information that can be useful, for example, to pass into the protected area with suitable access and without any additional gadgets and accessories!
Research team at Washington University from October 25, presented at Symposium on programming, technical and user interface experts have studied the early developments of similar studies and projects, identifying the special magnetic properties of this conductive thread.
As pointed out by a senior researcher in the team, Shyam Gollakota, Professor of computer science and engineering, this project is unique because it does not require any third-party electronics to activate the magnetic properties of this thread – and as a consequence and manage the digital data directly into the clothing of the user.
