The shining light for its size slightly larger than Saturn.
An international team of astronomers has discovered the smallest known star (not counting the compact, is actually the dead bodies). A study published in the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics.
J0555 shone EBLM-57Ab 85 times heavier than Jupiter, and its size is slightly larger than Saturn. It, along with two stars of solar mass, EBLM J0555-EBLM J0555 and 57A-57B, is part of a triple system, located 600 light years from Earth in the constellation Sculptor.
J0555 EBLM-57Ab revolves around EBLM J0555-57A, but hardly gives the matter a second. Scientists still unknown mechanisms by which arose studied triple system. Initially astronomers believed that EBLM J0555-57Ab is a large exoplanet, but recent observations have helped to clarify the status of the object.
