Rock House is a one bedroom cottage, designed by Cutler Anderson Architects Studio in a picturesque area in the province of Alberta, Canada, surrounded by the Rocky mountains.
The house was nestled in a crevice between two large rocks covered with lichen. Covering an area of just 74 square meters, it proves that luxury is not determined by size. Due to the high craftsmanship and attention to detail has exceptional functional and aesthetic qualities.
The main advantage of home — in the opening of his stunning view of the Rocky mountains. The layout balances the breathtaking distant views from the surrounding forest and a natural rock garden, which creates an important effect of living inside the landscape, not on his background.
Each of the facades has large panoramic Windows, and carefully cut into the rock. The palette of materials was concrete, the wood of Douglas fir, glass and steel.
