In Ternopil region there was a conflict between the parishioners of the Kiev and Moscow Patriarchate, Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
May 15, at about 21:00 in a call center of Zbarazh police Department received a message from the rector of the Church of the Holy apostles Peter and Paul in the village Kynakhivtsi. According to him, the Kiev Patriarchate supporters has damaged his clothes, broke the locks of the front door and entered the Church.
On the spot, the police found that representatives of the religious community of the Kyiv Patriarchate came to the village temple and presenting the Charter of re-registration of the community tried to come inside for worship.
They explained that the previous mayor refused to provide the keys to the doors of the Church, so they broke the lock. They blocked the entrance, a priest of the Moscow Patriarchate. It was pushed aside.
After worship, the conflict continued. Police arrived on the call, did not allow violations of the law.
Now the representatives of the UOC-KP sealed the temple. At night, the police on duty near the temple to ensure order.
