People’s artist of Ukraine, people’s Deputy of the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko” Oksana Bilozir commented on the scandal that erupted over her statements to representatives of Russia at Eurovision-2017 Yulia Samoilova.
The godfather of the President of Ukraine Oksana Bilozir said that journalists snatched her words out of context. “In my line not a word was said in the address of the Russian contestants my words that were taken out of context, focused exclusively on Russia as aggressor state,” he said. The scandal she called an example of the information war, launched the “namely Russian and Pro-Russian media.”
The actress also added that Ukraine as the host country of the competition, in the person of the organizing Committee of Eurovision, was to put a condition to the organizers about the impossibility of participation in the competition of the Russian Federation as a country-aggressor. According to Bilozir, Russia will “use every opportunity to turn the contest into a political show and to damage the international reputation of Ukraine”.
Thus the people’s artist is confident that in the current situation, Julia Samoylova at the time of the competition should be excluded from the black list.
Recall that the Russian press has already appeared information that the Ukrainian side will allow the singer to perform in Kiev.
