The security service of Ukraine detained the mayor of Bakhmut (former Artemovsk, Donetsk region) Alexey Reva.
As have informed “news” the informed sources, the arrest took place on Friday, June 9. Official comment on this issue in the SBU did not.
According to available information, on the eve of the detention, the security forces conducted searches for firms and for housing Oleksiy Reva. The whole operation – search – and-detention- supervised by the chief military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios.
Probably, Rewa will impute corruption or separatism. So, this spring, NACP filed two reports on administrative offences in relation to Reva. In particular, the Ministry reported that the mayor violated the rules of resolution of conflicts of interest in the activities of city mayors, namely self has not publicly announced a conflict of interest.
