Of the phones make Olympic medals.
The medals for the summer Olympic games in Tokyo 2020 will be made from metals extracted from mobile phones.
Receiving unused by the population of phones, the Japanese government will start from April 2017. To do this, service centers of mobile communication across the country will be equipped with special boxes where people can leave their waste vehicles.
It is expected to collect about 8 tons of metals from these phones. For the Olympic and Paralympic games is planned to produce 5 thousand medals.
