Saudi Arabia is ready to support USA in the fight against “Islamic state” in Syria, sending special forces.

“The Kingdom and other Gulf countries said it was ready to allocate forces to fight on the US side,” – said al-Jubeir. According to him, there are consultations with the Americans to “find out what the plan is, and what is necessary for its implementation”.

The Minister made it clear that freed from Islamic state territory in Syria must come under the control of the Syrian rebels. “The basic idea is to free the area from terrorists and not to allow their controlled Hezbollah, Iran or the Syrian regime,” he said.

The purpose of the opening 23 of the February talks in Geneva, according to the foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia – the organization of the political transition process to the creation of a “new Syria without Assad”. “If such a transition does not work, I can’t imagine how to end this war,” added al-Jubeir.
