Well-known Russian artist Sergey Elkin has published a new caricature of the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the newly – elected President of France- the Emmanuel Macron.

The artist depicted Putin, speaking on the phone the phrase: “If farmers can’t sow bread sow let cakes”.

In the original this phrase somewhat differently. These famous words were spoken by Queen Mary Anoinette hungry French peasants in 1766. What were the words so Qu’ils mangent de la brioche (translation: “If people do not have enough bread, let them eat cake”.
