Peskov does not know, will President Putin for a new term.
The presidential election campaign, no hesitation and plans, too, said the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, answering the question on possible participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the next elections as an independent candidate, not the party “United Russia”.
“No election campaign is conducted in the usual work. You see the President’s schedule, and, accordingly, no such thought, no such plans”, — said Peskov.
On the fifteenth of may, during a visit to Beijing, Putin, answering a question of journalists, said it was premature to talk about the possibility of his participation in the upcoming presidential election.
The Russian presidential election will be held in 2018. About his plans to run for already stated the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky. In February 2016, the party “Yabloko” decided to nominate Grigory Yavlinsky as its presidential candidate. Of its intention to participate in the race, said Alexei Navalny, sentenced probation in the case about the theft of “Kirovles”, but, according to many legal experts, the verdict, most likely, will not allow him to run.
