Sales of Grand Theft Auto V is still not slowing down

The creators of GTA V promises to regularly deliver new content for GTA Online throughout the year.

On the eve of reporting to investors, company Take-Two Interactive announced that Rockstar Games division has shipped to stores around the world a total of more than 75 million copies of Grand Theft Auto V.

And when you consider that the last time the developers talked about the shipment of open-world action in early November 2016, the year, confirming that their number exceeded 70 million, it turns out that over the past three months they managed to sell about 5 million copies (and for the whole year and does about 15 million).

According to Take-Two as Grand Theft Auto V and its multiplayer mode Grand Theft Auto Online has surpassed the expectations of the publisher “in each quarter since the release”. And this despite the fact that, initially, Rockstar released the game on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 already in September of the 2013th year, after which in November of 2014 was followed by a port to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and then on PC in April 2015.

Most interesting is that the game, which is already three and a half years, still manages to attract a lot of people. Last December GTA Online consisted of “a record number of players.” So, no wonder that Take-Two expects to profit from multiplayer until the end of the 2017 financial year.

Finally, the creators of GTA V promises to regularly deliver new content for GTA Online throughout the year. And then remind you that you only have a month to transfer my multiplayer character to the platforms of the previous generation to a more modern.
