The ex-President of Georgia is grateful for the help in this crusade.
Mikheil Saakashvili thanked the police officers who “didn’t try hard enough to prevent him from entering Ukraine”.

“I tried to give up your passport, refer to border guards to ask about the protection of the Ukrainian state… Today abused people, simulated mines, caught up with aunts, scared of conductors… But they have failed because people could not resist, they were forced to break through,” – said Saakashvili.
He added that once again was not disappointed Ukrainians and “ready to die” for Ukraine. Saakashvili thanked everyone who helped him get to Ukraine, and also law enforcement officers that he did not interfere.
“Today, I am grateful not only activists, our MPs. I’m still very grateful to the police who failed to comply with a criminal order, they did not go against the people and did everything to not go to the collision, not to go on about their superiors and did everything according to the law”, – Saakashvili said.
According to him, he was willing to go the official way and to give on the border a passport, but he was not given that opportunity.
