Saakashvili preparing for court in Ukraine

The ex-President of Georgia announced the return to Ukraine

Left without Ukrainian citizenship to ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili announced the return to Ukraine, where he is now. He declared it in interview “Radio Freedom”.

“I’m preparing for court in Ukraine. We are now preparing legal documents. We study with lawyers, when the right time come, when I should arrive, in what court I should go. I am consulting with my supporters in place, the right to organize,” he said.

Saakashvili said that he was going with his family “in one of the European countries”.

“And then I will go to Brussels in a few other European countries, meet with leaders,” he said.

On 26 July, the State migration service of Ukraine reported that the President Petro Poroshenko issued a decree on the loss of Ukrainian citizenship Saakashvili because of false data, which he indicated with citizenship. In particular, said that in Georgia he was arrested in absentia.
