The company blames the crew members in reputational loss.
Irish airline Ryanair, the largest low-cost carrier in Europe, has fired six of its employees for publishing pictures in social networks. It is reported by Euronews.
The reason for the dismissal was a photo on which the members of one of the crew is depicted sleeping on the floor in one of the offices of the airline.
Ryanair claims that the photo is staged, and publish snapshot caused damage of business reputation of the air carrier.
The crew in turn said that he asked to place them in a hotel at the expense of the employer, but Ryanair refused to them. The airline said that the staff offered an alternative – the opportunity to spend the night in the VIP lounge of the airport.
22 October it was reported that for the first half of the fiscal year (ended September 30) profit Ryanair fell by 7% because of rising fuel costs and a reduction in the number of bookings due to strikes of employees.
