Russian regions introduced restrictions on the sale of alcohol. So requested by the police

Krasnoyarsk Krai has become another Russian region, where restrictions on the sale of alcohol. The decision on Thursday was taken at a meeting of the regional Legislative Assembly. So deputies responded to the appeal of the chief GU MVD in Krasnoyarsk region Alexander Rechitsa. He reported a 19 percent increase in the number of serious crimes of a social nature, which the police recorded from the beginning of the quarantine measures imposed because of the threat of coronavirus.

According to law enforcement, which was agreed to in the regional Parliament, one of the reasons for this surge in household crime was the sale of alcohol. The response measure was the reduction of the hours during which stores the Krasnoyarsk Krai, authorized the sale of alcoholic beverages. To sell alcohol can be had from 8 am to 23:00, and now a ban on the sale of alcohol from 18:00 to 10:00. It will enter into force on the day following the day of publication, until cancellation of the alert, imposed in the province.

On the website of the regional Parliament of Dmitry Sviridov reported that the question of restriction of trade by alcohol is becoming not only the leadership of the regional police. There is a similar treatment of the Federal operational headquarters for the fight against novel coronavirus infection, said Sviridov. The operational headquarters was created under the government, headed by its Deputy Prime Minister for social Affairs Tatyana Golikova.

Earlier, a similar restrictive measures on its territory was made by the authorities of the Republic of Bashkortostan. To buy alcoholic beverages in the region since April 1 are also permitted from 10:00 to 18:00, said RBC. In Khakassia have introduced more restrictive: here April 2 with alcohol you can only trade five hours a day — from 10:00 to 15:00. In Karelia selling only allowed four hours a day from 10:00 to 14:00. Finally, the authorities of the Tuva capital of Kyzyl recommended trade is to refuse the sale of alcoholic beverages to the removal of the regime of high alert.

Previously, public organizations and deputies of the developers of the draft law on prevention of domestic violence warned of the likelihood of a spike in crime domestic violence after the introduction of the isolation mode. Concerns have already been partially confirmed: as told by the Deputy of the state Duma Oksana Pushkina, the increased number of reports of elderly people who become victims of aggressive behavior of the household.
