Russian politician made a loud statement in the annexed Crimea

Navalny said about the need for “fair” referendum in Crimea.

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny said that the future President of the Russian Federation to conduct a “fair” referendum in Crimea.

He said this in an interview with Xenia Sobchak on the TV channel “Rain”.

According to Navalny, you need “real will” of the residents, as the so-called referendum held in 2014, was rigged. While Navalny acknowledged that Ukraine is in any case not recognize the holding of another referendum, and in the world there are no precedents solutions such territorial disputes.

“I know that my words are not liked by many in Ukraine, my words are not liked by many in Russia. But I speak as it is realistic, we see that in the foreseeable future, Crimea will not be recognized by anyone, but will actually remain part of Russia”, – he said.

Navalny also stressed that he sees no connection between the problems of the Crimea and the Donbass. According to him, to resolve the situation in Eastern Ukraine is necessary to Russia has fulfilled its part of the Minsk agreement, withdrew its troops and handed over control of the Ukrainian part of the border.
