The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia suspected of generating companies inflating prices on the market for days forward (the main sector of energy trade), which caused a significant increase in the cost of energy in the first half of this year.
So, in the European part of Russia and Ural growth reached 10.2% in the Siberia of 11.3%, the overpayment industry and government agencies amounted to 60 billion rubles, the newspaper “Kommersant”.
As the newspaper notes, after the start of the investigation the prices have gone down. However, says Vladimir Sklyar from “VTB Capital”, the price reduction occurs, in particular, due to the resumption of import of cheap electricity from Kazakhstan and the restoration of production of GES.
However, the energy sector, if we can prove collusion, threatening fines of up to 15% of annual revenue.
