A patrol ship of the black sea fleet quick-witted completed the tasks in the Mediterranean sea and has returned today in the Russian-occupied Sevastopol. It is reported by the head of Department of information support of the black sea fleet captain first rank Vyacheslav Trukhachev.
“The patrol ship “Smetliviy” under the flag of Deputy commander of the black sea fleet, Vice-Admiral Valery Kulikov had participated in scoring the tactical doctrine of the connection of surface ships of the fleet with the forces of the permanent connection of the ships of the Russian Navy in the far area of operations,” – said Trukhachev.
According to him, during the exercises, the ship has fulfilled the task of escorting ships, the organization of anti-submarine, anti-aircraft and anti-sabotage defense of the squadron, performed missile and artillery firing at air targets and struck the marine artillery target.
Now in the Mediterranean are up to 10 warships and support vessels of the black sea fleet, including the newest frigates Admiral Grigorovich and Admiral Essen.
