The Russian foreign Ministry called the decision of the Polish authorities on the demolition of Soviet monuments in the amendments to the law on prohibition of propaganda of communism “outrageous provocation” and threatened Warsaw “consequences.”
“The Polish authorities, of course, I understand how heavy the offense it causes to the Russian people and the peoples of the countries that were previously part of the Soviet Union, sons and daughters had fought against a common enemy for the lives and freedom of the peoples of Europe, including the poles.
