In Sevastopol from the Mediterranean sea, August 9, arrived the latest Russian diesel submarine “Krasnodar”.
Until the end of the year the annexed Crimea will arrive two more Russian submarines “Great Novgorod” and “Kolpino”, the same type of diesel submarine “Krasnodar”.
This was reported by the commander of the Russian black sea fleet Admiral Alexander Vitko at the ceremony of the submarine “Krasnodar”.
According to the defense Ministry, during his stay in the Mediterranean sea “Krasnodar” has twice produced cruise missiles from a submerged position “on terrorist targets in Syria.”
“The fleet grows, develops, and acquires new features demanded by today’s challenges. Especially nice to know that before the end of the year we meet two more of the same type “Krasnodar” subs. Soon to the place of permanent deployment will arrive submarines “Great Novgorod” and “Kolpino”, which fully complement the mix of divers and allow you to make combat training even more intense and intensive,” – said Vitko.
Submarine “Krasnodar” – the fourth in a series of six submarines of project 636.3 built on the “Admiralty shipyards” for the black sea fleet of Russia, said the press service.
