Cuba officially appealed to Moscow.
Russia will provide Cuba a credit of $50 million for the purchase of Russian military equipment, reports the Kommersant referring to the sources in the sphere of military-technical cooperation.
The signing of the relevant agreements will take place at the next meeting of the intergovernmental Commission of the two countries, which will be held October 29-30 in Havana.
“This amount will be used solely for MTC (military-technical cooperation). In addition, the two sides will sign a number of economic documents and agreements by the Ministry of Finance, but they will have other means,” – said the source of Kommersant.
In 2017, the head of “Rosoboronexport” Alexander Mikheev reported that Cuba has officially approached Moscow with a request for modernization of armed equipment.
