In Russia intend to tighten the requirements for adoptive parents, according to kp.ru with reference to the Minister of education Olga Vasiliev.
“We have annually about 50 thousand children are deprived of custody. And the first thing you need – change the order of deprivation of parental rights,” she said.
According to her, deprivation of parental rights is possible only in case of threat to life and health.
“All the tragic cases of foster families who were in this year, we analyzed and we see that the selection of prospective adoptive parents were very careless,” said Vasiliev.
Such forms of care as a foster home, this restriction will not be treated.
“We also believe that without development assistance to foster families – psychological, legal, educational, medical, physical – is also impossible,” – said Vasilyev.
