IOC has completed the investigation against the Russian athletes.
Russia has lost 13 medals of the winter Olympic games 2014 in Sochi after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) all 46 cases against the Russians opened after rechecking doping samples from the Olympics 2014.
The IOC recognized the 43 Russian athlete who participated in the Games in Sochi, guilty of anti-doping rule violation, revocation of the results of the 2014 Olympics and suspended for life from participation in the Games.
The results of the work of the IOC under the leadership of Denis Oswald, engaged in the retest doping samples of Russians in the Sochi Olympics, his gold medals from the 2014 Games lost: crews bobsledder Alexander Zubkov (competition of twos and fours), skier Alexander Legkov (in the race for 50 km), skeleton Alexander Tretyakov.
Silver award lost: women’s team of Russia in biathlon (Olga Vilukhina, Yana Romanova, Olga Zaitseva and Ekaterina Shumilova) in the relay race biathlete viluhina in the individual sprint, skater Olga Fatkulina, skier Maxim Vylegzhanin (in the race for 50 km), the Russian skiers in the men’s relay 4×10 km men’s sprint team, Luger albert Demchenko, and the Russian team Luge (Demchenko, Tatyana Ivanova, Alexander Denisov/Vladislav Antonov) in the relay.
The bronze medal was stripped, the skeleton racer Elena Nikitina.
In the men’s ski marathon after the disqualification passenger cars and Vylegzhanin gold should go to the Russian Ilya Chernousov, who was third at the Games in Sochi at a given distance.
At the winter Olympics in Sochi, the Russian team won the medal standings, winning 13 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals. In the end, because of the decisions of the IOC team Russia lost the first place in this competition.
