Earlier the Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation stated about consideration of a question on transition to direct imports into Russia of plant products from third countries bypassing Belarus and other States of the EurAsEC. In the media this step Russia has called “trade war”.
Both countries are actively working on the possibility of creating a “Union state”, although Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko regularly expresses concerns about excessive intrusiveness of Russia.
